The Bus Driver provides superior, friendly, efficient service during the rental car process, transporting customers to and from the rental facility in a safe and timely manner. Establishes and maintains clear communications with other bus operators and management team to ensure a consistent, superior level of customer service. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.\nResponsibilities:\n\n* \nProvide customer service including greeting, arrival statement; identify level of service, determining airline drop-off, giving direction to exit and thanking customers.\n* \nProvide safe, clean and comfortable transportation.\n* \nEnsure that the bus is mechanically sound and that all required preventive and scheduled maintenance has been performed.\n* \nObey traffic regulations, use defensive driving skills and drive with seatbelts fastened.\n* \nAssist passengers on and off the bus and help with luggage as needed.\n* \nOperate radio in a professional manner using ten codes to keep base and other buses informed of traffic and location status.\n* \nInspect bus for damage and ensure that all equipment is in working order. Inform manager of any maintenance and or safety hazards.\n* \nFollow route and bus spacing as required by location busing standards.\n* \nAdditional duties as assigned by management.\nThis position requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) and is subject to DOT requirements including a pre-employment drug test and physical.\nQualifications:\n\n* \nMust be at least 21 years of age\n* Minimum of 1 year bus driving experience transporting passengers\n* \nMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs to assist customers with luggage\n* \nCDL Driver's License with Passenger and Brake Endorsement \n* \nNo more than 1 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI)\n* \nMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.\n* Apart from religious observation, must be able to work the following shift/schedule: 2:30pm-11:00pm\n* Must have either a High School Diploma AND/OR 1 year previous DOT Bus Driving experience.\n* Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.\nApply for this job:\n\n* Apply for this job online</font color=\"#008000\">We are an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.", "date_new": "2012-03-28 03:28:11", "url": "http://jobs.nationalcar.com/xml/27438284/job", "country": "United States", "company": "National Car Rental/Alamo Rent A Car", "title": "CDL Bus Driver-San Diego Airport", "reqid": "2012-56194", "state": "California", "state_short": "CA", "location": "San Diego, CA", "uid": 27438284}]
