The Maintenance Technician performs car and bus service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and buy back/turn back service according to company policy and procedures. This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.\nResponsibilities:\n\n* \nEnsure all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines.\n* \nProvide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.\n* \nPerform in-fleet servicing on new cars according to company procedures as required.\n* \nPerform buy back/turn back servicing according to company procedures as required.\n* \nPerform vehicle servicing/repairing to maintain company standards; maintain Out-Of-Service at or below 2%.\n* \nMaintain safe and clean work area.\n* \nPerform other related duties as required.\nQualifications:\n\n* \nMust be at least 18 years of age\n* Minimum of 1 year experience handling mechanical service procedures to perform fleet maintenance activities\n* \nRequires ownership of standard hand tools to perform basic maintenance and repair responsibilities \n* \nMust be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future (e.g. H-1B Visa status)\n* \nMust be able to understand, read, write, and speak English\n* \nMust have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 5 years (DUI/DWI).\n* \nPart Time position, no more than 25 hours per week at a seven day operation.\n* \nMust have or be eligible to obtain NYS inspection license.\n* \n\nMust be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour to Latham, NY or be moving to this location within 30 days of application.\n* \n\nMust be willing to accept $10.30-$10.80 per hour\nApply for this job:\n\n* Apply for this job online</font color=\"#008000\">We are an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.", "date_new": "2011-09-30 21:35:55", "url": "http://jobs.nationalcar.com/xml/23953054/job", "country": "United States", "company": "National Car Rental/Alamo Rent A Car", "title": "Auto Technician-Latham, NY", "reqid": "2011-47705", "state": "New York", "state_short": "NY", "location": "Latham, NY", "uid": 23953054}]
